Hyphen

A specialist practice operated directly by its founder.

The person who understands the category, diagnoses the account, and sells the engagement remains responsible for the work. Hyphen operates under Digital Traction LLC.

Background

The founder’s experience comes from both sides of the advertising relationship: platform-side work at Google and Reddit, and direct operating experience building paid search and offline conversion measurement for a family-building organization. The second part matters most for this work; the measurement Hyphen builds for clients is the measurement the founder had to build and maintain as an operator, with real intake teams, real CRMs, and real consent constraints.

Why the practice is narrow

Fertility paid acquisition rewards category depth: the queries, the platform policies around health advertising, the shape of a consultation decision, and the data rules around reproductive health are all specific enough that generalist pattern-matching produces expensive mistakes. Hyphen runs one category well rather than many categories adequately.

Capacity is intentionally limited. A small number of well-matched clients get the operator’s attention directly; there is no junior handoff and no delivery layer behind the person selling the work. When capacity is full, the honest answer is a waitlist, not a new hire pretending to be the same service.

Fit, stated plainly

Hyphen serves independent fertility and family-building businesses in the United States: clinics, egg banks, sperm banks, egg-freezing practices, and adjacent operators. The best fit is an organization spending meaningfully on paid search, or ready to, with a CRM or intake process that downstream stages can be read from, and a named person who owns marketing decisions.

Hyphen does not work with surrogacy agencies or surrogate recruitment companies because of a standing client conflict. The full statement is on the conflicts page.

When work outside the paid-acquisition boundary is needed, such as web development, brand creative, PR, or CRM engineering, Hyphen recommends and coordinates specialists. Clients engage those specialists directly; there is no hidden markup on other people’s work.

What Hyphen is not

Not a full-service marketing agency, brand studio, PR firm, or website shop.

Not a healthcare compliance consultancy. Hyphen designs specific advertising and measurement data flows carefully; the clinic’s own counsel owns its compliance obligations.

Not a volume operation. If the practice ever needs a sales team to fill capacity, the model has failed.

The working relationship starts with a diagnostic.

Two weeks, fixed scope, findings the clinic keeps. It is also how both sides find out whether the fit is real.
